THE GIFT, Blank Pictures’ third was our first short after nearly a year. In that time, our crew was separated during their time in college, but, while apart, we prepped several films for the summer. THE GIFT had been “in the works” for over a year, and it was Ameena Sawan’s first short with us. The film helped us to meet so many more collaborators in the Cleveland area. It was shot over 3 days, in early August 2022.
